Registered Massage Therapy

Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) in British Columbia are trained to evaluate your health needs, provide an assessment of your specific soft tissue or musculoskeletal condition, predict the likelihood or timeline of your recovery, provide hands on therapy, and through research, provide evidence-based patient education and remedial exercises. (HeathLink BC, 2020). Some techniques used include myofascial release, dynamic release with range of motion, deep tissue work, deep breathing and trigger point therapy.

At the time of your massage, your therapist will go through your health history, use orthopaedic testing and provide a treatment plan. Your privacy will always be respected, and you may withdraw your consent for treatment at any time. Your RMT will go over this and more details such as what to expect, the importance of communication and a pain scale prior to your treatment. You are in control of your treatment at all times.

Every massage session is tailored to meet individual needs and goals: whether that goal is to reduce pain, improve physical function, to alleviate stress or to simply relax and let go. My intention is to provide a safe space, dedicated, professional care and education throughout your journey to wellness.

CANCELATION POLICY: Please note that our 24 hour cancelation policy applies to all appointments. In courtesy of fellow patients and your therapist, we ask that you provide 24 hour notice of a cancellation, or a cancellation fee of 50% will be charged, 100% for a no show.
